Howdy, I'm a relatively newbie to deep dropping. Wondering if anyone would give up the general location of the trench I keep hearing about out the back of the Poor Knights? Not after any spot X's just the general area to have a crack at. Chur 🤙 |

My bathymetry shows a trench approx. 27km east of the Poor Knights. It looks like this:
The cross section I've added is a tad over 5km long so that gives you some perspective of the size of the trench. Here are some coordinates: Western end of cross section, S35.26.877, E175.01.250, depth 324m Mid point, S35.26.085, E175.02.886, depth 431m. Navionics indicates deepest point is 453m. Eastern end of cross section, S35.25.473, E175.04.129, depth 386m Contours are at 2.5m intervals. Good luck. |

You would be correct, it looks nothing like a trench, my bad. At least it provides the newcomer with an area to explore. So where is the trench?

Interesting Mr Krow. This is what my bathy shows. The Poor Knights can be seen on the LHS of the image and the hole on the RHS. Nothing of any great interest where you have circled?
 Edit - I have a feeling Mr Krow may be pulling our legs ............ ?

the trench is where krow said. I'll try to get the coordinates in a few days for you. There is other foul ground outside the trench as well in 300+m Just troll around out there and find the fish. K |
