What began with two teens quietly fishing at their favourite secret spot, ended up drawing a crowd of cheering spectators as they fought to land two huge fish last Friday.

I got shown a pic a few days ago - this week I think. A guy landed a 22kg kingi in the inner harbour at Napier - in 1 m of water.
Shot with a bow and arrow from a bridge. Great shot on his part - must have been 15-20 m. Thru the head. Stone dead. Walked off the bridge and dragged it ashore.
