I have been given a 125 Grim Reaper lure and 2 Lethal lures a 120g and it appears 300g ? How do I rig these please, with assist cord as per the long jigs or the way they were originally rigged with a treble on the bottom end of the jig ?

No reason why you can't put assist rigs on them. Go for it!

I would most definitely change out the trebles. An added bonus is that single hooks are much easier to set. The jigs will still work fine

Had some Rapala Crippled Herrings that I bought in the mid-90s from the states. Resurrected them a few years ago and put assist hooks on them. Great fish catchers and john dory in particular.

yes, use short assist hooks or try to buy the Gamakatsu SH510 single jig hook that has an open eye that you can simply close after attaching to the bottom eye of the jig.
