I have read all the info regarding the Garmin GFS10 fuel sensor that I would like to install and operate through the NMEA2000 connection on my Echomap 95SV.
However, the installation instructions say to set up/construct a network.
My question is; as the fuel flow sensor would be the only NMEA device to be used, is there any reason why I simply cannot plug the sensor directly into the NMEA socket in the rear of the Echomap unit.
Thanks

I can answer my own question now.
A NMEA network is required
