Hi guys,

Trying to find some new spots closer to home, I live about 30 minutes west of Tauriko. Looking to find some rock spots or surfcasting spots in around the Tauranga/Tauranga harbour area.

Thinking of trying around the mount like pilot bay wharf, around the back facing Matakana.

If you could offer any advise on some spots that provide pannies.

Just getting in to lure fishing as well so and advise on tackle, rig set up etc let me know

Hi..  just seen this and that nobody has replied.

The Kaituna Cut and the beach south towards Maketu have been going off over winter and still doing so.

With the weather warming up, it is of course getting more popular. The result is many people out there having a go.
The evenings, early mornings have been doing very well for those that are brave enough to go out in the cold.

Snapper, trevally and kahawai and the odd kingi occasionally.

People have also been doing ok off Moturiki / Leisure Is facing Papamoa
