managed to get logged, stay logged in and do a post tonight 

first time in several weeks for me

has there been a software change on the forum platform?

Yes Marcus there have been some problems alright, thought they were sorted. Grunta has recommended that if you're having problems then use the 'clear cache ' option at the bottom of the home screen, then log in a couple of times using incognito 'porn mode' as he calls it and the issue will clear itself. It sorted out my login.
