I am taking my seven year old son down to Oban in a few days. Are there spots I can take him for a fish off a wharf? We have a car and I am wondering if it is worth taking his rod or a hand line. Any tips appreciated please

Don’t know anything but could be fun.

Rig for Blue Cod maybe?

I’d make a call to the local pub or shop and ask. They are all super helpful. I’d chuck out a 2 hook #4 dropper rig on a 4 ounce sinker as a speculator rig and see what’s round. Let us know how you get on. Not sure if they have sprats and JDs in those parts but blue cod does seem the most likely.
