Gidday,

Wondering if anyone knows of small scale anchovy fisheries around NZ, or general information around quota / catch regs for them?

Also where they might hold at certain times of year would be awesome.

Grab the MPI fisheries  app NZ Fishing
Any rules , limit change and it updates as soon as they come into place.
 A must for any kiwi fishermen.
 Another is Tides and Currents  Vers 1.1.11   The play store later version doesnt work... must be that version.

You could use a throw bait net.
I have caught them on tiny sabiki if that’s your thing.

did you see the pics and videos of people scooping them up off the east coast bays beaches today, people filling bins and bins of them after they were pushed ashore by birds and dolphins

Can't find anything in the regs around anchovies.. Guess it falls into 'all others' category, which is no limit..?
