Well since you can’t fish and well watching others fish ain’t my bag right now it was a fine chance to catch up with Netflix, etc.

So what are people watching?

I am getting grief from my mates back home in the Midlands but finally got around to Peaky Blinders. Gangs set in Birmingham just after WWI got to say it’s pretty awesome I am enjoying it more than the Sopranos, probably because I understand them more. Sam Neill is in the first series and does a great job. Well worth the watch and still got another three series to catch up on!

1917  not your normal ww1 film, more like saving private Ryan but more too it than saving one man.

Love Peaky Blinders. Chernobyl was a recent watch, also very good, although maybe a bit too close to home for some at the moment!

Just wasted my time on two terrible movies, so avoid those!

- The Lighthouse - looked great in the trailer, but too intellectual/arty for it's own good. Nothing really happened. Spoiler, there is no big secret that gets revealed at the end. Just two blokes getting more and more pissed with a little unlikely homoeroticism thrown in for good measure.

- Once Upon a Time in Hollywood - another movie that looked great, but wasn't. Nothing happened until the last 15 minutes of quite a long movie. The last 15 minutes were good, but not worth the leg work!

Yeah I loved Chernobyl another communist cock up story.

Missed 1917 was that on the cinema recently?

I have lived in NZ for 22 years and I thought that I sounded kiwi now. No not until I put my first fishing video up on Facebook I thought **** I still sound like The Midlands.

Actually watching far less than did before lock down.
Bit different routine.. Get up check  Fresh grounded expresso, check messages , servers, post here on PCs.
 Shower.. coffee read the news
 Set up for projects
Wife has decided we need a cooked brunch on the deck..
Get into a project
 look around notice getting dark
 Dinner
Watch a couple shows, more catch up on demand, netfix  lightbox  bed.

Even getting into loading a few pics for Skotis pic comp time just runs out..

Maybe its just this incredible weather we are having.. maybe cant get out fishing but still get outside in the sun..

Will leave binge watching when things get back to normal.. weather that is.

I saw 1917 at the movies when it was out. My mate reckons it was the most boring movie he's seen. I enjoyed it, not up there with the best for me but certainly worth watching.

I watched Missouri Breaks for the first time the other night, it's an old western from the 70's with Jack Nicholson and Marlon Brando. That was very cool.

I watched some of The Tiger King of course. Quite funny but a bit too much like watching a strutting rooster. Well worth watching to see just how many whacko's there are in the world but 3 episodes was all I could handle.

I got round to watching Ford vs Ferrari the other night.  Yes, I know they left out the Kiwi drivers and tried to make it look like the GT40 was made in the USA and completely left out the Cobra from the story.  But it was still a good watch.

Was cool to see Piri at Kuaotunu on maori channel. Really nice part of the world. Have only fished out at Never fail rock 3 times and never really done that well either. Alot of awesome spots around the back of the mercs though.
That Reef off the end of the car park by the shop is an amazing surf spot with a northerly swell.
Had a Meal with family at Lukes Kitchen right it the Peak of Xmas Holidays this summer. Food and service was bloody fantastic, Considering the amount of people that were turning up. (Alot of Teenagers in BMWs etc - Matarangi crowd)
Massive Ice creams at the back of the shop for kids.

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but I watched Jo Jo Rabbit last night.  I wasn't expecting much to be honest, but it was actually a good film.  Definitely worth a watch if you get chance.  Quite tricky pulling off a comedy about the Hitler youth, but he manages it.

Yep Tika would be the only director in the world that could pull off a black comedy involving Hitler.... and receive an Oscar for it.
I thought Sam Rockwell was brilliant.

Watched Dogtown and Z Boys last night - the history of skateboarding in the 70s. Very good with an awesome soundtrack, new channel on Sky has sports movies which should be good.

Jordan doco on Netflix is also good.

I'm missing my sport...
