i was wanting to go fishing in raglan after the lockdown and was wondering where a good spot to go would be that is within kayaking distance

Hey mate,

The red X's fishes well on anchor through the tides, stray lining baits,

Blue line there are some deep holes. big eels in them too.

black arrow holds baitfish and kahawai on spin lures,

on the bank with the black circle holds some good trevs, on smaller hooks.

Generally the fishing is better in  late Jan- march,

you will get gurnard in the harbour if the bar is flat, if the bar is breaking right across you generally dont get gurnard as they dont like going through the white water of the bar.
