If I may...
Guys looking at these will think
"Damn would be good but have so much trouble getting the traces to exact length to clip on the trace board...

So here is a easy way to do it.
 Tie your hook on.

Snip off enough trace plus 10" or so more.. you will get this length better later... or get clever tie the next knot with no waste..
 Raparla knot.

Clip the hook into one side of the trace board...measure the trace , without tension but straight, over to the bottom of the groove on the other side. At this edge mark with a felt.
Later you will just put a little fold in the trace which is easyer .
With the mark/ folded right over pass thru the eye of the clip.
Back around and a 1/2 hitch.. keeping that fold .. pull thru but dont pull the 1/2 hitch tight.
Pass the fold up over th top of the clip and bring down and hold the fold on the eye of the clip.
Now pull the knot up tight by the main line and tag so it goes tight with the fold on the knot

Hook the hook over one side of the trace board, then the clip, and it will fit with just the right tension...
The knot takes up just enough length of the trace to give it that little tension to hold in place, and be released easy.

This is what happens when one sits down for a couple afternoons on a rainy day think" there has to be a easy way to do this...Wink
