Where do you launch from? Plenty of good options in the firth, from kawakawa bay, mussell  farms are good, early morning or evenings are best times.
grub paddletails in orange(Bloody Mary) or brown fleck(Goldrush) are always good colours.
Check out my range here

$6 pkt for most of my range, fully scented and dont dry out like some other brands
Use 1/2 to 5/8oz jigheads in 3/0 size

Good luck
