Just back from a boys weekend in Hatepe. Nymphed the Hine both days for a total of 20 odd rainbows between the three of us. Conditions were varied with the river level droping a couple of feet over night. Took a bit of thinking to locate and form a stratergy but experienced some outstanding bites on the glow bugs with plenty of weight on the truck.

Best fish was a 5 pound hen pulled from the ruffles on a orange gell egg emulation.

Eeck, if that’s the quality of fish in the Hine that’s pretty depressing!

Looks about usual - they seem to colour up really quickly in the Hine.
