Hi all
Anyone out there with a ramco seeker who has a 30 hp fourstroke? I'm interested in finding out if this would be too underpowered . I know many of them have 30s on them ( much cheaper to buy than a 40) and seem to get by. I'm not looking for a Ferrari but neither am I looking for a camper van on a windy road!
Any suggestions would be helpful - thanks

How will you be using it, no more than two just fishing, no great distance?

Yeah only 2 light weights (120 kg combined) not incl gear.
Never go really miles- just around the bay of islands and north beach launching . But usually fish in shallows

Yep RC1 is right - far better with a 40hp - a 30hp will struggle at times.

Yeah it would be a bit of a slug. Ours does 50kph pretty much flat out 2-up with a Yamaha 40 2-stroke. In a following sea I sometimes feel like another 10hp wouldn't go astray either.

| Yes it's only $180 more for the 50hp. See me for a deal if interested. Cheers
