Do people still get Scallops in the Tauranga Harbour or are those days gone? If some one is feeling generous could you PM me and give me an idea where they are. Cheers.

We used to g t them easily and regularly in three different spots years ago ... summer before last a mate and I emptied 4 tanks covering a lot of old ground for a handful and didn’t even try last season. A trip to Motiti still provides (and other seafood too). I used to enjoy a dive after work though. I’m not quite giving away my spots but I would be interested if others are still gathering around Omokoroa (that’s a big clue).

Thanks for the reply! Yep I think I know where they are out at motiti but if you could grab in harbour even better. Sorry I'm a little confused by your response. You didn't have any luck last year But there's still some around omokoroa is the clue? Or there is no real scallop beds left in harbour? And should waste me air?
