Has anyone fished from Motuihe Island? The North Shore Club is having a fish (Island of the bays) on 5th Feb 06. thought I might explore my possibilities on this beautiful island. If anyone is interested we welcome visitors and shared cost will lighten the the ferry/taxi boat travelling charges. If interested let me know. I will find out costs, 5-6people would be good, depart pref. Devonport warf although reg. and wieght in is at Takapuna boat ramp. (I will sought out Logistics later) The club has a (non compulsary) $5 pool which gets devided up between the 3 biggest catches for the day. Just as an added insentive!!! Just know there's a 20LB swimming around there. Can't put the arial photo on so give me an e-mail if you want it!

kabeljou did you have any success?? Nice photo. Roath have you tried google earth?? Pretty good resolution of Rangi, Tiri, Whangaparoa, Kawau and small islands on inner side. thegasman |

Ive fished that point jutting out on NE corner of pic above when I was kid. Didnt have any burley and didnt get any fish. Wouldnt be suprised if it was due to my lack of skill backthen (not saying I have any now tho!) ------------- LedgeNZ LBG |

Could'nt get enough people together to make it economical for water taxi, ended up going to rangi with fullers, one big run but ended up with some pannies... Work for a NZ mapping company!!Give me an area if I have ortho for that area I will e-mail it to you. |
