Hey guys,

Im in the process of moving over to NZ from South Africa. Busy sorting through my tackle and deciding what to bring.

So im was just wondering if you guys use these in NZ? We call them yoyos, they are 60-80kg handlines that we use for bait fishing for Snoek (Barracuta). The one with the shiney sinker is used for hand jigging.

We troll these bungee chords with squids or skirts, for yellowtail (Kingfish), longfin and skipjack that are feeding on the surface.

Any use for them in NZ?

We use them for Skipjack Tuna mainly. Legal Kingies are too big for them here but you could also catch the local Kahawai with them. We use slightly different lures possibly but same rig. Often have a diving plane incorporated as well.
