Got a 7ft overhead rod,has chrome guides,thinking of replacing them not sure which ones to replace them with, any advice is much appreciated thanks.

sic are the best but can be delicate.......esp on the bricks.....expensive........the chinese hard /chrome guides out of china are crap........Fuji Alconites are bloody good.....great for your jelly tip mate which swings both ways.Thumbs Up....just tell the dood you want to use for both spin and overhead.

Having built a couple of fly rods using some basic jigs, it's not too hard.
But don't do what the builder of my Abu Veritas did and allow epoxy to run into the guide. It then cracked at some point and took a couple of bust-offs to realise the problem.
