Hi, New in town, looking for crabbing / cray spots. Anyone keen to share that info with me?

Also, would be fun to go together if there is any group going.

Let me know. :)

THanks.

PM,get down to a local wharf near where you live.
A lot of Asians live in the bigger NZ cities now.
Crap ring potting off the wharf's should be safe with plenty of light at night.
You might as well learn how to fish for squid to.
Squid around the lights at night.
Local fishing/sports stores will help.
Maybe join a fishing club whose members can show you where to set you pots.
Crabs easier to get than crays.

You will pick up crabs in almost any of the wharfs in Wellington. Try the closest one to you.

Try Rona Wharf in Eastbourne if you are closer to it. Drop your crab pots with chicken frames inside them just before it gets dark as that's when it seems to come out the most.

If you are in the town side, drop your pots at Seatoun wharf. Thumbs Up
