I guys.
Before coming and start asking questions, I've been reading some older post here about the rigs, knots and use or not of swivels and all that. I've come to my conclusions, but I still have some doubts...
I always used an FG knot to tie the braid to the leader...what do you guys think about the FG?? I still haven't learned the PR...
Since I use a spinning set, the use of swivels it's advised to negate the twist of the leader and rest of the line, but then is it better to get a swivel with a split ring on or just the swivel? But even with the swivels, some knot protection is advised right? What would be better, to try to get some swivels with grommets or to try to get some thimbles or knot sleeve?? And what brands or types??
(I'm from the other side of the world, so I need to import everything)
And with the swivel (with or without the split ring incorporated), what's the correct way to rig it?

Sorry for all the questions...

Stay nice.
tight lines from the Azores!

Have a look at the Jigstar swivel and grommet, perfect for your needs.

A fg  is my go to if need good flow thru the guides.
Otherwise a bimmini twist and cats paw for and clips swivels etc to the trace.
I dont use swivels which over time twists the line...even with swivels the line eventually twists
If one draws around 50m or so off the reel, a clip on the end of the line..  and put an electric drill on the end, pull a little tension, run for a few minutes it takes the twist out of the main line...check a few meters of slack in the middle to see if doesnt  still twist

I always used to use PR knot but learnt the FG for my casting sets then started using FG for jigging too. It's quick, easy & I can do it on the boat.
I just use Jigstar knot sleeve with leader tied direct to the solid/assist no swivels no grommets etc.
I like simple plus when the razor gang knick all your gear less to loose & replace. IMO
