I picked up a set of 3 diamond hook files from Supercheap. They are 3" x 1" and come in course, medium and fine grades and a perfect size for sharpening game hooks.

I would but I've got this real uncommon device called a iPad that I can't post pics on this site , not a bad device though I'm sure they will take off .

Excellent files- been using them for years and if they are $7.99 for all three they really are the bargain of the century. I think I paid about thrice that for one

Just been to SuperCheap Albany and they do NOT have EzeLap brand diamond files @ $7.99 for three. To be fair I thought it was too good to be true as EzeLap are regarded as 'proper' engineering kit; Trade Tools (Auckland's best but priciest tool shop) have them next to the Facom hand tools for goodness sake.

However SuperCheap DO have A. N. Other brand at $7.99 a set and I bought those. They can go in the rigging box and my EzeLaps can remain safe in my workshop.

Even if they are crap I'm not at all worried for an investment of two cups of coffee.

Damn, thought that was too good to be true.  Was about to rush to supercheap and buy a few sets.  I've got an eze-lap in the workshop I use for touching up the cutting edge on drills and cutters -works great even on carbide tips.  From experience the cheaper versions tend to shed their diamonds over time, but at that price for the odd use while out at sea who cares if they wear out after a while.

Would appear an earlier picture posted has thrown some off track, a set of EZE LAP hones for that price is unthinkable - but if they are for sale at that price somewhere, would appreciate a hook-up Smile

This is the set available at Supercheap for $7.99

Go look again Krow. I saw them in the file section this morning and another set at Albany when looking for the EZE lap files myself. Figured it out once I saw the second lot at Albany. They're not near the fishing items. Got to look by the files etc.
Whanga's ones were on the left side by the air drill section about 1/3 the way down from the front. They're on the opposite shelf.
Albany ones were in the 2nd or 3rd row near the front of the shop if looking from the middle aisles. The shelves on the left side of the shop and again amongst the small hand tools.
If they're not there anymore, someone has beaten you to them.
Good luck shoppers.

No they are not the ezylap brand and don't have a handle, just the file on a coloured plastic backing.
