Now that these rods have been on the market for a while, I was just wondering how they are performing and if there is anything better out there for the money.
Cheers

I've just sold mine on (with saragosa 10000). I was perfectly happy with it to get me started particularly for the price. They've now released a new version too which is just a shade heavier in action. Last years pe4-8 will be re- rated 40-60lb (i think) and the newer one is 50-80lb. I still think they are the best ROD for that kind of money although there a number of excelent beginner/entry level Combos at that price now. Was playing with the new Penn Clash 6000 on a reload 10-24kg and was very impressed for only 399 in the TopCatch catalogue.
