Hi, great site this, I am after a charter for 3 or 4 blokes, chasing 20kg plus kings and or big snapper, looking at Auckland or coromandel areas, thinking 3or4 days weather dependant, looking for someone flexible and not afraid to travel to get the best weather and bites so a trailer boat is what I'm thinking, we are coming over from over the ditch so looking to have a red hot crack. At this stage we are open to suggestions, I have accom on waiheke if required of if helpful.
Thanks mike

Well id have to say Epic charters In coromandel..........Dont know if they still do accommodation as well....They used too..........but plenty of places to fish and they have always done packages for the aussies.........typical charter is for 4 but they are not cheap.
They try hard for you though and kings over 20Kg are common.....only 2 and half hours from auckland(Car)and a beautiful spot....Live baiting/jigging for kings is the main game but they will go out wide for puka etc........The time of year is important but they have info about that on their website....Good luckWink

There are two great options in Tauranga (2 and a haf hours from auckland.)

Nomad sportfishing and Fish & Dips charters,

Nomad a great for topwater/jigging/livebaiting big kingfish. Can also do snapper trips, does accommodation deals with the sebel hotel and can pick you up from the hotels waterfront wharf,

Fish & Dips are great for topwater kings, also softbaiting snapper and deepwater fishing, From memory I think Colin offers accommodation but I am not sure how many he has accommodation for.

You won't go wrong with either of these options, skippers are top blokes and produce the goods on a regular basis.
