Had the chance to give the new Carpenter PSC Jigging range( Power with Senstive
Control) a workout last
week and was totally impressed with their weight (200g), power, and the control of the jigs. When I first picked the rod up I had my doubts as it was so light but after swinging a few jigs
and getting it bent by some Mayor Island Kings, I was impressed! There is
nothing quite like it on the market and they are extremely light( when matched to a Shimano twin power 6000PG total weight of rod and reel is 610g).The closest comparison I can make is it has
a similar feeling to the lighter models of the Carpenter BLC range when loaded up, but the PSC range are obviously
much shorter. The drag rating like all Carpenter rods are understated and it can handle more than on the spec sheet. (In my pic below I am running bout 9Kg drag)
Konishi San tested these rods round the world for over two years before releasing them to the
public, which have also been put to the test in N.Z on White Island Kings by Konishi-San. Kingfish upto 21Kg were landed on this rod during testing...
The PSC 61MR/1 will be my pick for the Hauraki Gulf/Aldermans Is/Mayor Island/Whangaroa etc The meduim/heavy and heavy models are
currently in testing.

■ PSC 61MR / Ⅰ (B) -S commentary ( Translated from Carpenter Japan website)
PSC 61MR / Ⅰ (B) -S is Moapawa version of the PSC 61MLR / Ⅰ (B) -S.
I think that it is good for when you want the rod power than the PSC 61MLR / Ⅰ (B) -S.
When the rod power you feel wanted, you when the jig and when you increase the weight of the jig was losing to the resistance of the water depth and tide.
When the jig is too flows Doterra sink, because the line is as pulling the rubber, and thus become
We believe that it has exceeded the proper.
It has to change in this way Once the PSC 61MR / Ⅰ (B) -S.
It is select the rod in the same way of thinking also in vertical.
In the case of sink Doterra, it is that often you feel water depth 40 ~ 70m jig weight 130 ~ 180g is easy to use.
In the case of vertical I feel that is easy to use before and after the water depth 80 ~ 130m jig weight 160 ~ 220g.
Recommended PE line is 2.5-3 issue. When the strength test of the blank in NZ we are using the issue PE4.
Since the very high strength of the breakdown limit of the rod, optionally also would use our No. PE4 there is no problem.
In the test that I am going to Asama's product development cooperation bidder, it was PE4 No. Fluoro No. 20 in this rod.
Since Mr. Asama asked to efficiency in fishing, power this M (medium) is he feels the best.

No ,TAS Ho for life! Always trying and testing new rods and provided feedback since 2009. Some are definatly better than others, why do you have some REAL experience testing rods and providing input into the manufacturing process? Or is there something you don't like about this post?
Can't believe you still check this forum out daily from Aussie, don't Brandon or Rock on the GT Popping forum give you enough attention?

Well well back again Laidback is it your daily visit to chat with your friends? Why don't you go chat with them as I'm not your mate.
I'm not easily disturbed and I can take it as much as I can give it. And your trying to bring it. Seems like you have a problem with me if its not my post. You keep referring to Synit in which I have not been affiliated with for over 2 years and which you are well aware of. Suggest you have a chat to Graeme if your so concerned ( And me not testing for Synit any longer has absolutely nothing to do with this post. I'm over it so hope you can get over it too. I'm not intimidated by you or anyone else on this forum you actually make me laugh and it's quite entertaining reading your posts and ridiculous comments laidback( usually nothing original or informative), and lots of brown nosing.
I'm not interested in a discussion with you about something completely irrelevant. I'm certainly not taking **** from someone that has hardly any fishing experience and that makes no positive input into the NZ Jigging and Casting scene except making derogative comments on peoples post, and wasting their time.
Look at your signature, that says it all. Funny how the people who like to dish it out .....Cant handle it coming back.....isnt it?

He doesn't need any encouragement Mark...
I heard you've sold your charter boat, so does that mean no more Extreme Fishing Charters? We had a Primo day on the Top Water with Ben from Nomad Sports Fishing last week in Tauranga, Chris landed a nice one! Looks like it's going to be a primo Top Water season down there!

Originally nope still run trips as you well know, you've been ringing every second week to try and book in Just have the luxury now of booking them in when I want and with its blokes who want to do the type of fishing I enjoy Stoked you had a good trip the other day but you should put the pics of your fish up though buddy
Ringing you every second week, to book a charter with a charter operator that doesn't have a boat. Please..... You originally asked for a pic of what I've been catching (which you have now removed) and as I've been down in Tauranga, I haven't had a chance to reply to you. But here you go, this is the average size around Mayor Is at the moment that we've been landing on stickbait's with Ben from Nomad. Thought people would be more interested in the big boy that Chris caught above.
So how bout you? We bumped into you on Friday out at Mayor, you were on your mates Kingfisher boat. Did you land any decent sized fish on the top water by the end of the day? If so, where are your pics

Good for you Anesh well done, you've known for a while I don't have a boat. I think I even mentioned to you that if you want to bring your mates rig down I will come out with you and guide you for FREE,, pretty nice deal I thought. Na we didn't catch much casting because we hardly cast all day, but **** we had a blast on the light tackle small kings, couldn't wipe the smile off my face the whole day!!
