I was looking through some of my old gear & found these two, reckon I've had them 20 years or so.
Just wondering if anyone can tell me if they are a commercial model or perhaps home made.
Not weighed but I'm guessing about 50 grams.

Cheers Kev, yes, hammered jigs & there's tons of them on Ebay & the likes. But I can't find a pic of one showing the reverse side "flat" like in my pic.

Uncle can you bend them ?
20+ years back I remember a mate who worked for DOC carved himself a jig mould from a block of aluminium, & even carved 'scales' into the mould that looked a lot like yours. I don't remember a flat side, but he used wheel weights (I think) for the jigs themselves, and they were soft enough that they could be bent to change the action.

I got inspired and moulded an 'Iron' jig as they were my go-to kingfish jig at the time. Fail. Made with lead the bloody things weighed nearly a kilo, & with speed jigging being the go back then I was normally knackered by morning tea time.

Buggar!
I did the bend test & broke the damn thingLOL
Well, it's cracked pretty bad but I guess I can still get a wee bit of mileage out of it.

I'd say there was something other than lead in the makeup as it was quite "stiff" to bend.
I have a few others I'll photograph & put up here later.
