Hi all. Looking to purchase a good popper rod to match to a 14k Stella and not sure where to start. GTs in Tonga is the goal. Any rods that stand out from the rest? Based on personal experience? Happy to buy second hand if you've got one for sale. Thanks in advance. |

I will look no further than Synit. I use them now99 persent of time and is very happy with them. I just finished building two PE 10-12 popper rods on Synit blanks and they a joy to use. Very powerfull rods but easy on your back. You can always get another tip for stickbaits and use the same butt section. |

Hey Safayakker didn't you used to have a Daiwa monster mesh that you rated highly? The only reason I bring it up is most opinions will be based on what's currently hanging in the rack. Not many will have tried and be able to subjectively compare Smiths, Zenaq, Salty Water, Synit, Carpenter and Ripple Fisher. Let alone the myriad of other options..... You right mate, I did use the Demon Blood quite alot but have stick to Synit after it broke. Seaotter ask for top end recommendations based on personal experience and i think the Demon Blood is more mid range if not lower. If i can get another Demon Blood i will definately buy one. I tried to claim the broken rod from Daiwa NZ but they not interested. Said that i have not push the top part in all the way  hence it snap. That just my opinion. Pretty sure there are guys with much more experience than me, on here to share their thoughts. |
