Just wondering what leader you guys use on your light weight set ups. Have a maxel hybrid 20 with pe2.5 (49lb) on a jm100
Would you use 55lb leader to match breaking strength. Or go something like 80lb so if they do take some line you have extra insurance

I only use 40lb fluro mainly on my F 30CH, all depends on what you are targeting

Small to medium kings. Didn't have any issues with the 55lb on Friday until the jig snagged on the bottom but curious as to what others are using

You will get about 6-7kg of drag out of the little Maxel with a relatively full spool... So I'm running YGK pe2 with 30lb YGK fluoro..

I was going to get pe2 for this reel but the sas pe2.5 was on special. Yeh I measured it and about 6-7kg with full spool which is enough for this rod. Strictly under the arm at that drag on this one. I treat the line as a 30lb line. Think I will use the 55lb for now for kings and drop it down to 30lb for snaps. Cheers guys
