I'm going to Fiji and I need a rod for what can do both jig and cast I've got the shimano tranx (overhead reel) and I need a rod what is under 6ft because of the size restrictions on the plane.I've been looking at the ocea t-curve overhead jig rod.but can I cast with it.

What are you going to cast? poppers, stick baits????? Why does the rod to be under 6ft, to fit in your luggage or any other reason. Do you have any target species in mind?

I'm going to be casting both poppers and stickbaits.the species will be blue fin trevally, barracuda all the Pacific species.I was told that it will cost a extra 100 dollars if it is over 6ft.
