Tony and I have been chatting about a mixed format of jigging in the morning then go troll for Marlin with dredges and slow troll baits and pitch baits the maybe a bit more jigging late arvo on the way home

I would be keen to hear if that sort of trip has any interested people

DJ yep the wind can piss right off.

Re trips for next year Blouder has got it bang on. Hen and Chicks, Mokes and Poor knights triangle lends it self to both Jigging for Kingi and Marlin fishing all in the same day.
Future trips in Jan-March (depending on water quailty etc) may have a few hours of jigging and then Marlin fishing. Towing a dredge, bait rigging etc these trips will be good days to learn a few different tricks with the hope of getting some of those jig rods bent up on a marlin.
They will work out to be an affordable days game fishing as well as putting a few fish in the bin for the family. The first focus for these trips is lure fishing for Kingfish and if the stars are in our favour we will chase Marlin.
