Thanks Mark - there's always more to learn and thanks to the guys @ Rod & Reel for putting on the evening!  Here's the link to that You-tube clip on the FG knot I said I'd dig out for you. This is a quick and easy way to tie the FG knot and you can use it with any weight braid/leader combos for topwater rigs or jigging/softbaiting etc. An article in Sportfishing in 2009 discussed the testing of 50 knots for braid/mono or fluro leader connections and the FG knot was the strongest. ------------- Online... |
