When is the best time of year for stick baiting and are then any certain conditions where it works best?

Now, flatish sea state makes for best viewing & easier retrieve but most important there has to be King present & they have to be feeding on the surface.

I generally stickbait October through to late April. This is when the kings are in good numbers in my area (Waiheke). I cast to rocky points, shallow reefs, and moorings/channel markers. If it's rough you can use a sinking stickbait.
