Chuck some carbontex drag washers in and 60lb fine, got 80 in mine I think. Was first jigging reel and still keep it for visitors, they are good reels but you will need your thumb if anything reasonable comes along. For two or three hundred dollars extra you can get into a lot of very good reels.

Thx,

I have a Jiggingmaster pe5 da bomb reel that.
Got the Daiwa for the lighter rod.

Thinking on selling it & use funds for a Poseidon 5, had a fondle of 1, looked good, plenty of drag too. Just didn't get around to try it bugger...

Thx for the feedback... appreciate it

Carbontex isn't going to increase drag much but it will make drag smoother and last longer.   Tbar would make cranking easier and total cost around $130. Only you will know if it is worth it, at the end of the day, you still have a 30T.

Did the Carbontex upgrade and put a t-bar handle on my 30T. Like Rob said, needed to thumb the spool a couple of times. Was a great snapper stray lining reel, but jigging... nah, not really. Sold it.

What's the cheapest type of meat? Dear balls. They're under a buck.
