Well i Finally got my hands on one for these Jigging Master under head reels...
(I don't want to do a massive write up trying to sell this reel but more so to inform the jigging community about this new reel now that i have had a go with one and give it a bit of a review)
At first glance i have to say they have a look of there own haha WinkLOL and it defiantly was a little different from your conventional reel sitting in the holder
but after getting over the way the reel looked we had been getting onto some nice size hapuka so i thought it would be a good test to chuck on a 40oz sinker and wind it up from 200m+ a couple times and hopefully get something to pull some string off it.
The reel is actually really nice to use and i couldnt fault it....
the only problem i found compared to a spin reel is it doesnt make noise when the fish is taking line...Ouch but when fighting fish it is really comfortable and would be really nice for a beginner to use as very balanced under the rod and doesn't want to spin or twist.
I didnt catch any massive fish on it but did get a nice double of a 10 and 15kg puka gave the reel a good work out and the line guide system seem to work very well but that is the only thing im keeping my eye on...

Note: for the guys asking if this reel can cast.... because it is replacing a spin reel please remember this reel is a Low gear reel for jigging and we then have high gear reels for casting..
I know some guys like to multipurpose reels which i think is sweet and in that case buy a spin reel but for guys that want a jigging reel and dont want to guide the line then this reel is actually pretty good
You just have to get past its looks first LOLLOLLOLEmbarrassedConfused

Also i have the reel at the shop if anyone wants to a come and have a look!
and have a play with the reel in store  Thumbs Up but please no laughing as you may hurt its feelings

Sweet review. Like the points covered.

Tell me, i cant stop wondering what the Level Wind mechanism is like (not implying its bad)? Have you lads had a chance to get amongst the level wind (inside the reel) and see how she fears? Just makes me wonder how good that mechanism is at winding line on level when there is solid tension on the line?

You didnt get a chance at all to drop lead and see how balanced these reels are for mechanical Jigging or is that the next trip?

Just curious on this new design.

Nah we havnt had a chance to open up the reel yet but when John is back at the shop we might have to have a look
And I only did about 6-8 drops in 200m with a puka dropper and caught 2 kings and 3 hapuka so there was a bit of pressure on the level wind for a long period of time and line is still flat and synchronised!
Nah we didn't have a go at jigging as just ran out of time but yeah the next trip chasing kings it will be coming with me!
