Preparing for the Tongariro to try out a few new flies with the Skagit gear . Here is an unconventional way I tie rabbit flies. Rainbow      Same pattern, different colours

Providing the strip is tied in securely at both ends there is no need to rib it. I like a slim profile and if the hair is too dense I pluck some out. The palmered hackle adds movement as well as stops tail wrapping. Rainbow |
