I contacted the police and they said trade me will return my money and ban him!!
I paid via bank transfer which i regret!! Live and learn.
Hoping to get my money back fingers crossed.
You lot would make great detectives thanks for all the info.

Hi yeah so justin margan had no intension on selling me the reel.
He told trade me that it was stolen from his car!!!
Trade me asked for a police report and he did not produce one.
The matter has now turned criminal and the police will be involved very shortly.
I did talk to him and he said his girlfriend was supposed to organize it .
I spoke to his girlfriend and she said they are not together any more!!!

As I suspected, the reel never existed and the guy thought he was using you as a short-term loan. I reckon he thought he was in for a windfall and was going to refund you from that but of course it never eventuated.

Or he's on the glass bbq. Also entirely possible.

Yep glass bbq and/or gambling habit would be my guess.
