The area around the ramp will be busy on Saturday morning as it is now the start point for the Tarawera Ultra Marathons - 100 miles at 4 am and 102km at 8.00am

Last I heard, it's open from Thursday to Sunday, but you must wash your boat and trailer at a specified facility along Te Ngae Rd first, and provide evidence of this (receipt or photo of receipt I think).I expect there are wardens patrolling the ramp.

Best give Eastern Fish and Game a call for specifics.

Lake Okataina now open 7 days, according to the latest email from Fish and Game. It says cleaning stations will be open daily to facilitate this, but I'm not sure if that means there'll be wash facilities by the boat ramp - presume so.
