Hi All, Its been a year or two since Iv'e posted but had the urge so here goes. Been a bit crook the last year and didn't do a hell of alot of fishing to wot I normally do. With health good now Iv'e been out three times in the last two months. Twice with my brother and solo last Labour weekend Monday. The trips with my brother resulted in multiple Snaps over the 20lb mark all let go and a bin full of smaller ones for home and sharing around. Have a good video of releasing a big Snap watching it charge back to the depths! but couldn't work out how to load it on hear to view. Last Monday out on me own the best Snap I got was a Goodie a big long fish 87cm. Have entered it in the DB Export National Measure where it sits top of the heap for now but won't last as bigger fish 90cm odd usually take the honours. Also noticing now I'm in my 60's the beachlaunching in the little Mac 360 results  in a few aches and pains I never use to get! Could be a new boat calling in the near future! Pic of me at home with Mondays Snap...

Holy crap I have never caught anything like that. And I beach launch all the time, and it hurts. I am  70+ too.

Hi Pcj, to be honest i probably haven't caught a milky  one since then! The Snaps off here are mostly fat as with some real barrells in amongst them. One thing Iv'e changed in the last year i read about bleeding your Snapper before going in the ice bin. Since doing this have found the fillets are in alot better condition, no redness or bruising like before. Wot I do is Ikey and straight away put a cut inside the top of gills, you will see the blood coming out, hold in the sea by the tail until its drained then in the bin.

Cheers Craig! Now ya got me thinking I'd say someone out there would have some  sort of rope or wire system to get a boat in the water...
