Anyone ever dive the Manukau harbour?

Whatipu on the inside of the bar looks like it could be a good spot.
Have fished from the rocks there but looks like the current rips there at times.

Any tips or advice would be appreciated.

Tried to anchor just off there once - absolute nightmare just rips through!

Local divers (not me) say small tides best as viz is poor and current in big tides is dangerous.

Are you experienced? diving from a boat with an experienced skipper would be a must I would suggest.
Good fishing trip nothing breaks, great trip catch fish.
