Many Moons ago, when I was into Kite fishing. I was impressed by a device, that I had seen in use. I cannot remember the name of it, but it was used to fly up the mainline of the Kite, and drop a baited trace line that was attached to a surf casting set up. Basically it was used to get a baited hook and trace out much further than you would normally cast! Looking for a supplier, or a design, so that I can make or purchase one in my retirement for personal use! Can anyone help please?
It is to be observed that 'angling' is the name given to fishing, by people who can't fish.

A friend of mine makes a cannon that fires a frozen bait out 300m, they aren't cheap to buy and your reel needs to be loaded with braid. As long as your rod isn't tip wrapped (and you have more than 300m of line) then it will stay in the rod holder. Otherwise ... goodbye! Really cool set up but they are about $900 from memory. I'm sure he would make one to order if you're interested. It runs off of compressed air so you need a tank also
