Can anyone give the good oil on the chances of a deer in this area? Have been told to walk up the Wairefalls track to some good hunting, but DOC website suggests no hunting allowed. Confused

BUT! While you are at Wairere Falls, you can look down on my farm, and on your way home, can pop in and pick up some asparagus and maybe some pork product too if you are in luck! :-)

Hey Penguin,

Mate we have always done well up Whakamarama Rd, park at the Blade (old dozer blade) then a walk due West for an hour then start hunting, loads of old logging tracks around, grab a map they show well, I'd recommend carry on heading west and making your way around the bush to find Te Tui Track, (western end)....

We gain access on the eastern side of Te Tui where the local Maori boys allow us to drive across their land and carry on up Te Tui by vehicle, heaps of animals around....

Good luck...
70ml of 90deg C water pressurised through 13g of roasted finely ground tamped coffee for 25sec's to make a distinguishing sensory hit called a Double Shot

Thanks for that Craig. Will give it a try at the first oportunity and you can be sure to see the results here first.
Stu, it would be plain rude of us not to take up your kind offer  Clap. Will probably catch you at the beach before we get around to hunting though.

Will definately be heading into this area from Tauranga side next time, as the old body really did not like the climb up Wairere falls this morning.
Sorry we didnt have time or energy to come and see you Stu. Next time mate.
