Watching my share fund steadily decline is just the first of the great things I always anticipated.....I bet more will happen too.

Remember, The Blessed and Most Holy Jacinda vowed and dead set PROMISED there would be no new taxes in this term. We will see. Capital gains tax? Death Duties? I watch with interest.....

Petrol tax for auckland. Will mostly effect the poorest section of society.

And petrol increases will be greater than 10c. Our dollar against the $US  has fallen from around $72.40 at the time peters announced coalition with labour to $68.40 this morning and still sliding.

Seems currency markets do not like even the remotest posibility of isolationist N.Z.

Petrol tax to fund multi billion  tram or rail link from CBD to airport.

Why do we need that. We already have skybus. Regular link from CBD to airport. Runs down dominion road and another down Mt Eden road.

Stops at all bus stops. I have been taking note over last few months at the number of passengers on these buses. Usually almost empty,just a small number of passengers. So why would rail on the same route be any different..

Maybe like the thousand kilometers of expensive bike lanes recently installed in Auckland that very people few use. 

Would appear to be a lack of clear ,logical ,researched thinking where it is most needed.

As for fisheries. Would not count on much change. Why would there be. Given they have quickly shelved the proposed Kermadec reserve.

Indication of attitude.

Imagine the possible increase of YFT in our summer waters if this reserve was in place.

 The 'research ' says  put them in and ppl will use them.. possible because they have caused so much congestion simply by reducing the number lanes at critical locations.
 And yep the research works, its on the nail... the local lane down our major (and now badly congested ,local main rd) have seen 6 cyclists use it in the last 2 yrs... including school children from 2 high schools 1 intermediate and 4 primary schools... One of those people was me.
