I was going to vote yes to this new law, but after taking the test and being horrified at the reality of the law i have decided "NO WAY"

You have to take a balanced view I guess.  The quiz after all is propaganda from the no vote campaign

7/10, I chose some of the looney answers. The one I got wrong that surprised me most was about the bill making it legal to turn off life support

We do it all the time. It's not illegal at present. That question was the least controversial to me.

Yes, but Andrew don't you think you are perhaps conditioned and cold towards this? Because with your profession you deal with the possibility of death every day?

Probably, but I like to think of myself as more pragmatic than cold. There's a lot to be said for a good death. I've seen a lot of not so good deaths and it ain't pretty.

Even though its not legal,I believe what or has taken place works rather well.A friends wife who had zero chance of recovery, constant pain for months, getting close to death, rang doctor who said give 2 at night time and I will leave the bottle here. She passed that night.

Why would you change your decision based on a bad test score that just shows that you need to do some reading up before voting day. As others have said this has been put out there by the vote no team and is trying to get people leaning that way. Read into it properly(not Facebook or vote no quiz)and make up your mind.

Got 7  same as Smudge
My old man died slow..me a 16yr old kid changing nappies , helping my mum, stopping him pulling cathators out, and holding down when out back in...We just watched him die slow horrible.
Mother died sudden quick and was healthy... that was the way to go.
As did my grandfather...after a hip opp, heart gave out..
Grandmother , gut cancer, again that was nasty.. sitting by here bed in the days weeks before she died, taking teaspoons of broth..
Will never forget hers saying several times. " I have had a great life, great life, a great husband and father of my children, great children and grandchilren...I wish God would hurry up and take me"...
And I had to say .. " yes I think so to"
 And she smiled very deeply..

Back in those days , doctors where able to over supply morphine..  these days with records, computers they cant..
So now because of PC BS and PC feel good attitudes cause we pass our old people onto there to look after while they draw out their death.
We need new laws to do what has been done gently and quietly for centuries.
