Hi All, not fishing as much as usual these days, but when i go have been having great results. You would think thirty big Kopopa's-(small Kahawai) would be enough bait for a strayline session, but today could of easily done with fifty
I loaded up on them a few hundred metres off river mouth before venturing to my summer close in spot. No sooner i had Straylines deployed it was only minutes before first hit! A good eating 5 kg model. From then till the next two hours i did battle with probably twenty five good snaps. Kept very little, released most. Everything storms off when your only in ten odd metres.
One of the keepers was a fat 20 lb to weigh for our two month summer comp. Also in between the Mayhem hooked a nice king which has ended up as twenty Strayline baits for next trip out. I only rate them as a bait fish and its pretty good with its tough skin
