if i go flyfishing on the coast what do u use generaly ? A floating WF line and sinking tip? Or compleet floating and a sinking leader? I mean ofcourse flyfishing with a little fish immitation (streamer) not a dry fly.

sinking geep...your more likely to get a bigger variety of fish

A floater with sink tip or leader will be okay for kahawai and/or shallow water but as Tobez says you might want a line that gets down a bit.

Thanks for the information tobez and Craig.  I think we are fishing in shallow water so a floating line and a sinking tip and leader  will do.

depends ...if you can see a work up...or surface feeding.. then a sinking tip with floating line...sinking line for "unknown" that would be my choice

but for all round prob sinking the whole way...often the bigger beasts are below...
