Het Fisho's,

I am looking at going on a trip to Vanuatu, (last trip was 10-15 years ago) and was wondering has anyone done a trip with OceanBlueFishing or IslandPassage. Price is not really an issue as work is paying for it.  Oceanblue is out of Port Havanah for 6 days, IslandPassage is about the same but no trips until May next year. If anyone has been fishing with either any feed back would be appriciated. If anyone else has any better packages they know of let me know. Last time I was up there, DivefishSnow organised the trip.

OceanBlue has also got a GT trip to New Caledonia, which is a join a trip, with 1 spot left. Anyone been fishing there?

If anyone else is looking at going to the South Pacfic fishing and needs another person let me know. My mates wifes wont let them go.

Hey Outfishn,

Good to hear from you.  Depends what you want to be chasing whether you do Vanuatu or New Cal.
Andrea on the 32ft EdgeWater can go a long way in comfort, get to seamounts etc.  I'll get him to put up some reports here on how well he's been fishing lately.

Russ is a nice guy, his boat is small and stays in close.

New Cal is always a great option, here is last weeks video just in

Chat soon,

< ="utf-8">< ="utf-8">My name is Andrea Traverso. As OceanBlue said I am running the 32ft center console here. We have some good fishing now. There are heaps of Blue marlins around Efate right now as well as GT's and doggies. The seamount is also on fire with heaps of wahoo and Yellowfin. Here are a few pictures of last week's catch.

Thanks OceanBlue/Andrea,

I have been looking at your site and deciding wether to do the new, join a trip to Vanuatu or the Sports fishing trip. Just got a get my mates misus to agree to let him go. is the Introductory offer, fish 5 days pay 4, stay 6 nights, pay 5. Available for a limited time only! still avaliable.

Whats the best time to come up. Last time we were up there was October, and I don't think it blew over 5knts for 10days. I was looking at either December, maybe a bit warm and windy, or April/May next year. We would like to targrt Marlin until we get one (touch wood), and then do sport fishing for Tuna, MahiMahi, Wahoo, GT's and Doggies, for the rest of the trip.

Cheers Kev

Hi Kev,

December is generally very good for Marlins as the water gets warmer and lots of big skipjack's school come in and the Blues love them. The sea is also generally better during summer as we don't have the southeaster-lies like in winter ("cold season"). Vanuatu is the best option if you want to be able to target different fish and do different fishing techniques in one day. We can pop for Gt's along the reef then jig for doggies on the drop offs and then troll for Blue marlin all that in a day.

Cheers,
Andrea.
