This is for all those that want to help out Christchurch by wetting a line. Should be a fun event.

FISH FOR CHRISTCHURCH!
TE ATATU BOATING CLUB NON-PROFIT WEEKENDER FISHING TOURNAMENT

Te Atatu Boating Club has an annual two day Weekender Tournament on Saturday 9th - Sunday 10th of April, which is significantly ramped up this year taking on some great sponsors and making it entirely non-profit with all proceeds going to Christchurch. Many sponsors involved: Norcross Fishing World Henderson, NZ Fishing News, The Licensing Trusts, Dive HQ New Lynn, Lighthouse Marine Equipment, Smuggler Marine, Aqualine, Chaos Charters, Chesters Plumbing, Placemakers Westgate, Icey-tek, Brass Monkey Ice, AJ Gundy Building Contrators, Selectlok, Paton Roofing, Moon Engines, GEON print, Rubbish Direct, just to list a few.
Sponsors have made significant cash/product/service donations, some of which will be used as prizes, but many are to be auctioned off at Sunday's prizegiving to generate more money for Christchurch. All fish weighed in will be put up for auction also.
$40 ticket per angler available from: Norcross Fishing World, Dive HQ New Lynn, Westpark Chandlery, or Te Atatu Boating Clubrooms 32 Bridge St Te Atatu.
First prize Heaviest Snapper = Shimano Tiagra Rod and Reel
Prizes for 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th Heaviest Snapper.
Prizes for Heaviest Kingfish, Kahawaii and John Dory
Weigh in at TBC clubrooms closes 2pm Sunday.
Boat parking will be available at TBC wharf. Surf life savers will be there with their IRBs offering a water taxi service for any big boats that need to anchor outside the Northwestern motorway overbridge.
Weigh-in followed by auction of fish and some fantastic products/services donated by our sponsors. Auction is followed by prizegiving.
Garden bar, quick fire raffles, Bands, and Surf Life Savers will be doing a sausage sizzle - again all proceeds to Christchurch.
$10 social tickets will be available at TBC clubrooms on the Sunday for people to come and participate in the fish auction, prize auction and the quickfire raffles.
If the fishing is cancelled due to bad weather, the event will go ahead regardless at the club rooms from 2:30pm Sunday 10th April with auction of products/services and the fishing prizes will be drawn.
All information and rules and regulations are available on the website
www.teatatuboatclub.co.nz
It is a One-base tournament - overnighting in Islington Bay, Rangitito. However there is a trailer boat exception to this noted in the rules - enabling trailer boats to launch and retrieve from Te Atatu Boating Club boat ramp on Saturday/Sunday - so the tournament is suitable whatever the size of your boat.
All proceeds are going into the ASB Christchurch Earthquake Relief Fund
