hey there new to the website and looking at going out from kawakawa sataday morning thought might give it a go as getting a bit bored with thmes at the moment so if anybody knows of some places to try around that part of the gulf i would love to hear about them

hi there, iv done a bit of fishing at the bay thats a bit past kawakawa, i think its called waiti beach?

anyway you take the left (almost carry on strait infact) at the end of kawakawa bay and that takes you to waiti beach.

if you head to the right over the rocks, you come to a small sandy beach - on the right hand side of that are some decent rocks with deepish water.

I havent had much luck with snapper there, only caught small ones. But have caught plenty of decent KW
