Had a mate come over today, got a ticket for not paying for parking or whatever at the ramp.
Really pissed him off as his mate forgot to do the warrant and that cost him another 200 bucks.

Anyway, I can see his gripe, why do boaties, who contribute countless dollars to the roading infrastructure, have to pay for the privelidge of going fishing?  Why cant the councils just upkeep the ramps as they do the roads.
I dont go to the rugby, yet I have to help pay for F###ing staduims, I dont use public transport, yet I help subsidise it, so why the heel is it user pays on ramps?
I mean what if you jump in your car at 5 am, head over to Kaotunu, get there at 7, where the hell do you get a permit from at that hour?, its getting to be a pain in the arse going fishing.
What happened to public access?
