Lake Rotorua's surface water temperature was 19.08 degrees C at 10am this morning.  The cooler SSW winds that we have had are making a significant impact at the moment.  Algae levels are at 3.6 and the lake still has a green tinge to it when seen from a distance.  At the moment the wind is SW at 2.06kp and humidity is 72%.  Barometric pressure is at 1015.5hPa.  There appears to be bands of temperature at varying depths throughout the water column in Lake Rotorua.   We are expecting a high of 20 degrees C at 3 pm and as at 12.20pm the air temperature is 19 degrees C.  It is partly cloudy and the UV Index is 8, which is high.

Lake Rotoiti's surface water temperature is dropping slowly but is still ain the low 20's.  The water column below the 14 metre mark ranges in temperature between 17 and 15 degrees C.
