just using it to put out longline last season, this coming season will be a different story as you all know the west is abit unpredictable,but there is a nice snapper spot about 2km's out from the wanganui river mouth

Sounds like you must be in South Taranaki? I hear that Ohawe Beach is good for dinghy fishing (snapper) so should be good for kayaks as well.

hi ya dogfish, Wanganui actually, but anywhere from here north can be good yak fishing, just have to watch the weather very closely.

summer time the snaps can be 500mts off shore just abit far to surfcast
